One Tree Hill:"Good News for People Who Love Bad News" Review

When viewers had thought Tree Hill had finally calmed down from the car accident following Nathan and Haley's wedding, they were abruptly surprised with the season four episode, titled Good News for People Who Love Bad News.

As the school prepared for the upcoming game, Payton Sawyer had her own excitement in her life. Derek, played by Matt Barr, recently had  claimed he was her brother that was adopted right after he was born.

Derek and Payton began hanging out, and Payton began introducing Derek to her friends. Derek also brought a camera along with him everywhere he went, and he always took pictures of Payton without her knowing.

The big day finally arrived and Tree Hill was filled with excitement for the big game. Nathan went on the court and was impressive with his numbers on the scoreboard, but it still wasn't enough to get the team ahead by halftime.

In the locker room, Skills talked to Nathan after Whitey, the basketball coach, tried to put some fire into the players so they would win the game. Nathan helps convince Whitey to put Skills into the game and he eventually helps bring Tree Hill the win.

After the game, the friends all go to a party at Brooke's house where a lot of confessions, feelings, and thoughts were revealed by all of the characters.

The episode comes to a close as Payton opens an email from Derek and it is a picture of her at the basketball game. As the camera draws out, the audience sees the wall of pictures Derek has of Payton. The viewer is then shown that  his love for his new found sister might be a crazy obsession.

One Tree Hill:"Good News for People Who Love Bad News" Preview

This episode of the teenage drama One Tree Hill was originally aired in October of 2006.

One Tree Hill is a television show that focuses in on the ups and downs of a group of friends attending Tree Hill High School.

Lucas Scott, who is played by Chad Michael Murray, is the step-brother of Nathan Scott, played by James Lafferty. The two brothers have always had a rivalry towards each other on and off the basketball court.

Lucas is torn between two lovers, cheerleader Brooke Davis, played by Sophia Bush, and artist Payton Sawyer, played by Hilarie Burton. Nathan married Haley James, played by Bethany Joy Lenz, during the time the friends spent at Tree Hill High.

Mouth, played by Lee Norris, and Skills, played by Antwon Tanner, are two friends that were incorporated into the show through the love of basketball by the Scott brothers.  

The fourth season of One Tree Hill highlights relationships between the friends, and introduces new characters such as Rachel, the enemy to all of the girls in Tree Hill, and Derek, the mysterious brother to Payton.
